KARACHI: A few days ago, Al-Falah police arrested two close brothers injured in an alleged encounter near Bagh Malir Puliya and claimed that they were both robbers.
However, before the said police encounter, the policemen are seen taking the two brothers together on a motorcycle with blindfolds on their eyes.
The mobile phone video of which and later the mobile phone video of the two brothers who fell down on the road in an injured state also went viral on social media.
In which the two brothers are seen at some distance from each other, while their motorcycle is also seen lying on the road and they do not even have blindfolds.
After these videos came to light, Al-Falah police’s response became suspicious. The family has alleged that the police allegedly asked for a bribe and when they did not give it,
they caught the two brothers and took them near the graveyard and injured them and also recovered the weapons while the two brothers had left the house to eat burgers.
The family has demanded from the top police authorities to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident and to take strict legal action against the police officials found guilty of abuse of power.
SSP Korangi says that SP Landhi has been appointed as inquiry officer to investigate the incident.
It should be noted that after the police encounter on the night of Thursday, July 27, SHO Al Falah Hidayat Hussain had claimed that the police stopped the motorcyclists as they were suspicious and opened fire on the police. They have been identified as 20-year-old Noor Muhammad and 19-year-old Faheem, who are brothers.
